Thing-System
This code was sent to Dave Walker from Tony Tebby. It is the same as the thing system supplied in SMSQ and I believe in SMS2. This version was made specially for general, free use. It is NOT public domain from a legal point of view. Tony Tebby and Jochen Merz still retain the Copyright to the thing system. Tony Tebby would like it as widely distributed as as possible. This will allow program authors to include this version of the Thing program with the authors code. I Jim Gilmour have found some old documentation on the Thing system which may help in programming the thing system. The documents did NOT come from Tony Tebby I believe they are an early release with the document format markers. I am assuming that these documents can be distributed as Tony Tebby wants the binary used we will need some documentation. NOTE ---- PLEASE REGARD THESE DOCUMENTS AS GUIDELINES not DEFINITIVE MANUAL. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Please use caution as Thing will have changed but this seems the only guide at present. I accept NO RESPONSIBILITY for an problems, loss of data, loss of money, errors of any kind, or any problems in any respect to this archive. Jim Gilmour Fidonet: 2:250/121.3 14th September 1993
